Until further notice, the School Library Media Specialist Program is ON HOLD.

The school library media specialist program at the University of Delaware is a nationally recognized NCATE-AASL Reviewed & Approved program. There are three options for those wishing to gain certification to be a school librarian depending on prior educational background.  Only selected courses are offered online.

Option 1 is for those with a bachelor's degree in education interested in pursuing a Master's Degree in Instruction with a Concentration in School Library Media .

Option 2 is for those with a master's degree in education seeking school library certification through a course of study.

Option 3 is for those with a bachelor’s degree in something other than education who which to pursue a Master’s Degree in Instruction with a Concentration in School Library Media.

The Resident Professional and Continuing Studies Graduate Scholarship Program is offered from UD to Delaware residents who enroll in a graduate course through Professional and Continuing Studies and who pay tuition for a graduate course(s) in the 2009-10 academic year.   The amount of the Resident Graduate Scholarship will be directly applied to the student's billing account at the time registration takes place.
